It has been said that some people become a freemason for personal benefit.
This statement is true, but for the wrong reasons. The personal gain is in experiencing the warmth of an honourable society and being part of an organisation that works hard to help the less fortunate of the world.
Members over the years have come from all over the UK, from varied backgrounds and of all age groups. Most weeks on a Tuesday evening many of us get together to learn more about Freemasonry and prepare for the four meetings a year, which take place at Mark Masons Hall, St James , Whilst the venue for these meetings since 1722 the regularity of them has been maintained throughout, despite the disruption of the war years
Social and fund raising events in the past have included our annual ladies festival, St Georges day lunches, Quiz Nights, Carol Singing as well as many other socials
All monies raised from these events go to Local. National and masonic charities
Whatever we do its about enjoying all aspects of the craft whilst we learn to improve ourselves through the values of freemasonry
If you are interested in joining The Old Dundee Lodge and would like to talk to someone in person, or if you are a Freemason and would like to attend one of our Lodge meetings as a visitor, please get in touch with us.
